FISH’N CHIPS everyone! A classic, and one of the best things there is if you want to go for a quick fix delicious vegan meal. Tofu wraped in nori sheets, beer battered and fried with oven baked fries and mushy peas. So good it’ll blow your mind, trust me! Check out the easy and super quick recipe below.

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu (press out as much liquid as possible)

  • Nori sheets

  • Salt & pepper

  • 150ml (non-alcoholic) beer (of your choice)

  • 185g Flour

  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder


  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.

  2. Cut your tofu into 4-5 pieces.

  3. Salt and pepper the pieces and wrap in wet nori sheets.

  4. Combine flour and baking powder, add in the beer and mix until you have a nice batter.

  5. On a plate add some flour and turn the tofu pieces in the flour until they are covered. Now plunge into your batter until every part of the piece is covered.

  6. Bake your Tofu in a pan with oil at medium to high heat for 2-3 minutes each side (until nice and crisp). Put the finished pieces into the oven to keep warm.

  7. Serve with fries and mushy peas and enjoy!
