As you might know we LOVE dumplings and therefore it was only a matter of time before we went about to figure out a vegan version of the beloved and absolutely beautiful crystal shrimp dumplings, commonly known as “xia jiao” or “har gow” (虾饺).
In this recipe, we’ll show you how to prepare one of the tastiest street foods ever. We're talking about TACOS, of course. When it comes to tacos, there are probably as many different recipes out there as there are fish in the sea, so OF COURSE we had to come up with our very own taco recipe at some point.
One of our favourite pasta sauces has to be the one and only bolognese sauce. One might say it is impossible to make a vegan bolognese sauce, but we beg to differ.
Zaru soba is a traditional chilled noodle dish. The soba noodles are made of buckwheat flour and typically served cold with a soy dipping sauce.

With love to make homemade pesto. We mainly started making pesto at home because there hardly were any vegan pesto options around and the ones that were available were mostly crazy expensive.

I loved hash browns to death when I spent a year abroad in England, had them almost every week for breakfast, lunch or just as a snack. You could get them everywhere (supermarket, McDonalds,...) which was sooo convenient.
Especially in the vegan community, it seems to be an unspoken quest to find the perfect vegan mac'n cheese recipe, someway or the other and therefore the number of vegan Mac'n Cheese recipes is growing.
As a native Swabian, knowing how to make spaetzle is in my blood, so to speak. Nevertheless, I have to admit that it took me quite a while to get this spaetzle recipe right.

We didn't have stuffed cabbage rolls often back when I was living at home. And if we did they never were the real deal with minced meat and all that, but instead they were mostly filled with a couscous or millet filling, which I would certainly be happy about today, but as a child it wasn’t necessarily my favourite. Anyways, what I am trying to say is: I had never eaten 'real' or let’s say traditional stuffed cabbage rolls, but I was curious how they would taste and so this recipe came about.
This recipe was born out of the pure desire to finally eat Schlutzer again. This south-tyrolean Dumplings were one of my absolute favourites as a child and even Michael remembers he loved them, even though they had spinach in them, which he wasn’t the biggest fan of at that time.
As you might have guessed by now, today's recipe features a vegan fish substitute as the main ingredient. We will be making graved vegan salmon. The vegan salmon is rubbed with a mixture of spices, salt and herbs and stowed in the refrigerator for several hours to infuse. Traditionally, this is how fish used to be preserved (mostly in Scandinavia). The name graved salmon originally comes from the fisherman burring the salted fish in the sand in order to ferment it.
Today it’s all about Vietnamese cuisine and the beautiful dish Bánh Bột Lọc. These vietnames clear dumplings are made of tapioca starch and a savoury filling, drizzled with green onion oil and a homemade dipping sauce. Just unbelievably beautiful and delicious!
Soft, fluffy and just incredibly delicious cheesy breadsticks, just like the olive garden ‘original’. Whether for grilling, as a side dish or as a delicious cheesy snack, these breadsticks filled with cheese and brushed with homemade herb butter are so simple and yet soooo sooo good!
Who hasn't experienced it: you've cooked too much rice again, forgotten a courgette in the fridge and the carrots don't look as crunchy as they did 6 days ago when you bought them. The usual problem with leftovers.
Pizza-pockets or mini calzone as I like to call them, are one of my favourite bready snacks to this day. Because what’s better than pizza in bite sized form with all the delicious ‘cheese’ and tomatoes flavours, packed in a steaming, golden brown and crunchy dough pocket, am I right?
'Chicken' and waffles, a classic, right? But it wasn’t until 2020 that Michael and I tried this legendary dish. To be honest it was definitely not a combo we thought we’d enjoy THIS much. But we did.
